Tetra PhosphateMinus is suitable for all freshwater aquariums, to reduce excess phosphate (PO4) in the water. Phosphate is a naturally occurring and vital element of the aquarium environment, however too much phosphate (over two milligrams per litre) has an adverse effect on the water quality and encourages the growth of undesired plants. Tetra PhosphateMinus safely and efficiently removes excess phosphate, before being biologically broken down and removed by the aquarium filter within 48 hours, without clouding the water or leaving deposits on the substrate. Tetra PhosphateMinus reduces the PO4 value reliably, without affecting the carbonate hardness (KH), and as such the product is also suitable for aquariums with soft water.
