The Savoy style is the original design for the traditional style of sanitaryware. Semi-inset basins are a very UK style, perfectly adapted to our smaller bathrooms. Semi-inset is otherwise referred to as semi recessed basins (semi recessed means the basin is half contained within the worktop, and half 'hangs' out beyond the work top). The width of only 575mm is good, but the depth from the wall of only 470mm is half buried in the worktop - this maximises both floor area and storage space. The basin is angular with a straight, sharp rectangular look - almost Art Deco. The basin comes in one or two tap holes (2 tap version comes with a chain stay hole for use with a plug and chain waste). The Savoy Semi-inset basin is a bathroom size - generous wash bowl, and ample tap ledge. The generous tap ledge has two soap ledges with drainage channels into the bowl. It comes with an elegant letterbox overflow - use with slotted basin wastes.
